This method is where the deck is built in successive segments over a rigid pre-fabrication bed on one of the banks of the gap to be spanned.
This deck is then pushed into place as whole spans or in segments which makes rooms for carrying out the following span or segment without interruption.
A steel nose in front of the first span permits the reduction of the cantilevered deck length before a pier is reached.
It has numerous advantages such as suppression of falsework, formwork reduction and optimizations, improved repetitive cycle efficiency, limited special equipment investment etc.
